CSC’s carbon steel sales volume declines in April

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in April this year its carbon steel sales volume amounted to 813,246 metric tons, up 1.87 percent compared to March, accounting for 64 percent of domestic sales. In January-April, the company sold 3.31 million mt of carbon steel, accounting for 66 percent of domestic sales.
 
In April, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 29.62 billion ($991.5 million), down 5.16 percent month on month. In the first four months, the operating revenues of the company totaled NTD 118.09 billion ($3.95 billion). In April, the company registered earnings before tax of NTD 2.86 billion ($95.71 million), increasing by 3.8 percent compared to March.
